Hi Alexis,
Eukanuba is made by the Iams company.
Eukanuba kitten has more protein than Iams
kitten which is good. The bad news is it contains
rice as its main carbohydrate source. Rice has a
high glycemic index which means it produces a high
blood sugar after eating it. This MAY cause the pancreas
to be overstimulated after Stubby eats it (ie producing
insulin due to the high glucose.) This MAY cause an
insulinoma with time. I hope they will change from rice
to corn and barley in the Eukanuba kitten like they did with
the Iams kitten. That is just my 2 cents worth.
Yes I still like Iams+Eukanuba kitten better than some of
the ferret foods out there.
