Hi Karen,
Not sure if you got the message from Linda Kendall or not regarding Rinkydink.
She has a ferret that also has the same thing as your Rinkydink.
Here is what after much work and trial and error, she finally found someone
that could help her. Carolyn McKinsey a shelter mom and Vet Tec in Colorado
Springs.
This is what she told Linda to do for her Timmy.
Amoxicillin (twice daily)
Prednsone (twice daily)
Sucralfate (twice daily)
This is the one that her vet never told her about and the one that made all
the difference!
CHLORAMPHENICOL 100mg 1/2 tablet morning and night.
Food she is syringe feeding Timmy:
Mix Kibbles (ferret food) (that has been soaked in water for several hours.
1 egg
2 small cans of Iams Turkey and Giblets Formula (solid cat food.)
Similac Lactose Free Infant Formula with Iron. ( put 2 to 4 scoops into about
3/4 cups of water and mix). Put all of above in blender and mix.
Put meds in a cup and add some of the mixture and feed to Rinkydink. Her
Timmy turned around in 48 hours. He is now fat, healthy and dooking it out
with all his ferret buddies now.
Try it and let us know how he does on it.
