Subject: Enalapril in oral suspension

Hi Dr Williams,

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada and had two
cardiomyopathic ferrets. The lab next to St Boniface Hospital
was able to make up a batch of Enalapril in a oral suspension.
I can't comment on the taste but at least the fuzzies didn't
foam at the mouth when giving it to them. You can check with
Tache Pharmacy at 204-233-3469. It is rather expensive though
- $80.00 CDN for 250ml.

Ruth, I have found an injectable form of Enalapril called
Enalaprilat - is this what you are referring to? I haven't
found an
oral suspension, and my experience with using injectables
orally is
that they taste AWFUL!

With kindest regards,
