Subject: Adrenal/Melatonin query

Friends of the Ferret,

Because a 4 month depot Lupron shot has had no effect in
slowing down Chuki's adrenal activity, I'm looking at
Melatonin (always the eternal search for "something to help").
But melatonin comes with the following warning:

"Warning: Use only at bedtime. For adult use only. Not for
use by children, teenagers, or pregnant or breastfeeding
women. If you are under medical supervision, or have and
autoimmune disease, diabetes, a depressive disorder, a thyroid
condition, epilepsy, leukemia, or a lymphoproliferative
disorder, or are taking MAO inhibitor drugs or corticosteroids
such as cortisone or prednisone, consult with your physician
before taking this product."

Chuki's on Pediapred, Digoxin and Enalapril. Would I be adding
to the problem, or possibly helping it?

Anyone?

Glenn and Chuki
