Hi Edward, I don't think ( the vigorous stimulation of the
ferret's neck skin, ) came into the same category of what used
to be done to the ferrets here, when I left the barn the
farmer had picked up the ferret by the neck with these old
blacksmith pliers. I have no idea of how well the treatment
worked but there were no jill jabs, no V hobs, no dead jills
and no kits so the old boys made it work some how. I do not
know of any one in the UK ever poking around inside a ferret
to remove a it from oestrus but I expect its been tried here.
