OK, I suppose the first thing that I have to ask is how the diagnosis
of IBD was made - what bloodwork results and/or X-ray results pointed
to it?

One reason that I am unsure is because of the wide-ranging
medications that he appears to be on - anticoccidials, antibiotics,
steroids, Metamucil (I think that is what you typed) - just a little
bit of everything, without apparent rhyme or reason. It doesn't
appear to be pointing at IBD, but a little bit of everything. If we
were looking precisely at IBD, a typical way to approach might be to
limit it to the steroid and a bland diet.

What clinical signs is he showing? What were the bloodwork results?

As the body of your post doesn't give any objective reason why the
IBD was diagnosed, and the therapy doesn't apparently support it, I
am unable either to confirm this diagnosis or suggest why the therapy
is not going well.
