Actually if she is blind, that would also contribute to her lethargy.

Usually, the response to pred is evident within the first 48 hours at
the outset. At this point, lets switch it to an AM dosage (ferrets
normally max out their steroid secretion in the AM, and let's bump it
up to 1.5 mg. to start.

Have you calibarated your glucometer against a normal ferret's blood?
