bottled water for ferrets---
i was quite hesitant to quote anything about the story regarding the person whose ferrets became ill after switching from bottled to well water precisely because so many facts were missing from the story, i agree with you there is no way of knowing the facts from fiction or particulars involved.
we had a water scare in washington dc a couple of years ago with guardia in the public drinking supply. god only knows how long it was in the water before we were told about it. this is not an anecdotal story, i lived there at the time, and we were inflrmed by public health officials.
the pur water filters do filter out cryptosporidium and giardia, they also shut off automatically when the filter will no longer filtrate. i'm an immunosuppressed person myself and this particular filter was recommended by an infectious disease specialist doc to me precisely because of that reason.
btw, i do not work for pur water filters (lol)
