Subject: Clarification needed on possible Fervac reaction PLEASE!!
Before I start, I'd just like to extend my deepest gratitude for all
who make this list possible. I've learned a great deal since I
joined & tried my best to keep up with posts. So, my apologies in
advance if this has already been covered.
I took my 6 month old girl in for her final booster today. I realize
this should have been done months ago, but there were a few health
concerns with her so I held off until she was well again. Her second
last booster was about a month ago. She did extremely well. However
today, about an hour and a half after her shot, she started
vomiting. So I immediately called my vet, who in turn suggested it
was probably because she got car sick. Now, she's been to the vet at
least 6 times since I got her, and she's never vomited or showed any
signs of not feeling well once we got home. I asked the vet if it
could be a reaction to the Fervac, and was told that the chance was
too remote and that it was most probably car sickness. Is it
possible for a ferret to develop car sickness all of a sudden like
this? Or are my suspicions correct in that it was indeed a reaction,
albeit not as severe as others.
Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,
Suzanne
