I've treated a ferret with prednisone (ever increasing doses up to
2mg per day) for three years. The only side effect has been that the
ferret gets FAT. If the tablet is a 5mg tablet, then Bo is getting
1.25mg every other day. Does not sound like much at all.

I wouldn't use anything but Gerber's 2nd stage chicken baby food.
