I took in a ferret that had a similar problem, seemed his bottom jaw was
a tiny bit crooked, he was older and a grove was worn into the upper lip
and the tooth fit there nicely. He was not in pain, and eating well, in
his case no need to do anything. I would say if the ferret is a kit,
while the tooth is still growing it may be uncomfortable, and if it
causes bleeding, or pain while eating then it would need a vet to see.
However, if the ferret is growing, eating and active- no need to worry.
Sometimes we have to allow others to use their judgement on how is best
to care for their animal, even if it is different from what we would have
done.
Of course, if you do get this ferret, I know by your concern, he would be
the luckiest ferret in the world :)
