I have a couple of questions: First I am having a difficult time
litter box
training Chloe. Sometimes she will use it, but sometimes not.
What am I
doing wrong? Everytime she uses it I praise her and give her a
treat.
Second, she is a nipper. What can I do to get her out of this
habbit?

I am getting a companion for Chloe in a month or so. I am very
excited.
She is a chocolate blazed.

Hi Jess and welcome to the list. What a wonderful surprise it was
to fine
you here. I really think you are going to like this list. As far as
Cole and
her litter box habits I have a similar problem with my 2 boys,
Pugsley and
Streaker. The funny thing about Pugsley is he will use his box when
in public
but so much at home. What seems to work is putting something in
every spot
that she like to go, like another litter box or two, food bowls,
water
bottle. Then hopefully she will pick a spot that she likes and after
a while
you can start to remove the boxes she is not using one by one. All
so make
sure you all ways get all the smell up from any accidents that she
makes so
that she doesn't smell it and think it OK to make there.
As for being nippy, Never allow her to play rough with you till she
stops
this, scruff her look at her and tell her NO and hiss at her. This
means you
disapprove of this behavior. If this dose not work, Try spraying
some bitter
apple on anything she bites, this stuff tastes nasty. If she
persists in
nipping you give her a 5 minute time out and then try again. If you
need more
help let me Know.
