Hi all!
I read Glenda's reply regarding the nipper with great interest.
Fifi Le Pieu is a 2 year old MF x-female who exhibits a few traits
that I'd like to modify, but I haven't had a great deal of success
yet. Fifi does not kiss, cuddle, or chin-rest as my previous
ferrets did. (While my previous 2 ferrets were boys, they were only-
ferrets like Fifi.) Any ideas on how to improve this? Also, she
is a problem carpet digger, which I can't seem to stop. Bitter
Apple, Best Behavior, scruffing & "NO", scruffing and hissing, and
even time-outs don't seem to have much of an effect. I even tried
making her sniff hot sauce in desparation, but she lapped that up as
if she liked it. Fifi has great public manners, and will take just
about any behavior from a small child or dumb adult. She walks
nicely on her lead and loves public attention, but get her home, and
outside of begging to be chased, she'll completely ignore everyone or
dig at the carpet in her favorite spot. HELP!
