Dr. Willard,
I would like to know whether you plan on
developing foods for special needs ferrets, such
as those with kidney disease who require much
lower protein levels than is available in ferret
foods. There are most assuredly other special
needs out there. I am dealing with kidney disease
(renal failure) in one of my ferrets now. Even
the TF for Older Ferrets is very high in protein
in comparison to the Hill's K/D that Champ is
being fed (in his soup, anyway) now.
And, that brings me to another question. Just
what is considered an acceptable protein level for
ferrets with kidney disease?
