Subject: Photos for the Front Page of the FHL
Listmembers - break out those cameras! A picture is worth a thousand
posts!
The FHL solicits high-quality images of medical conditions for the
front page. Each image will run for approximately one week, and with
the photographer's permission, may be added to the FHL's file section
for more lasting availability. All copyright is retained by the
photographer, and is not transferred to the FHL.
Each image should be accompanied by a short history, and additional
comments, differential diagnosis, etc. may be added by the FHL's
subject matter experts.
A few suggestions:
1) Original images should be saved and submitted at the highest
resolution possible to preserve detail; images will be scaled down by
the moderators for use on the page. In some cases, images may be
cropped to lend additional emphasis to lesions.
2) Focus and illumination are important. Images that are out of
focus will not be selected for the front page.
