That probably is OK for our ferrets who are indoor animals and are not
exposed to the diseases and illnesses that wildlife are. I was taught to
use the 1:10 solution for wildlife but that's a whole different beast, I
suppose. The wildlife can bring in any number of "problems", plus different
animals use the same cages over time. I think the 1:10 is probably more
precautionary than anything else; maybe not entirely necessary. I use the
same solution for the ferrets since it's already there.
I DO rinse, even the cages and litter boxes. Psychologically, I can't stand
NOT to rinse. However, air drying in the sun will kill all of the active
ingredients, but rinsing is certainly not a bad idea.
