Subject: Fw: Dr. Willard, Special needs feed
Hey All,
Would like to add my voice to the chorus for special feeds for special
needs
ferrets. All of my crew was on Totaly Ferret until recently. Rinkydink
was diagnosed with eosiniphilic gastro entreitis (sp) and her symptomology
connects it directly with what she is eating. We took her off of the TF
(corn) an put her on Euk kitten (rice), that worked for a while but then
symptoms came back full blown after a distemper shot. After a long hard
haul we finaly have her stablilzed again but found that she can no longer
eat the Euk and be symptom free. We have switched again to Prescription
Diet Z/D low allergy. Her body does not recognize the rice as it has be
hydrolizied and is working well for us.
Have you ever considered or will you consider a feed for ferrets that
cannot
tolerate grains? I would love to be able to feed my babies food that was
made especially for them and not for cats with the same disease.
