In response to my request for advice re my adrenal ferret
that Lupron has had no effect on, and my concern about
prostate enlargement, Mike J. answered:
Hi Glenn,
I would be most concerned about the urinary straining. I
believe in
these cases, Propecia or Proscar is an option.
I'm more concerned by the minute, I now notice occasional
stringy poops. I tend to rule out other causes for a blockage
because there are no associated symptoms such as loss of
appetite and/or nausea. What I really need to find is an
alternative to Lupron, but the prostate enlargement needs
immediate attention. If anyone here has used Proscar
successfully and knows the dosage, I'd appreciate hearing from
you.
