Hi Mike and Glen,
Yes the 1mg once a day of Propecia or Proscar
is the dose that I use.
I also give Lupron with this. Most of the time
after 30 days of the 1mg per day you can lower
the dose to 0.1mg per day to control the prostate
and urination. I would also recommend a broad spectrum
antibiotic (Clavamox drops, Baytril, Trimeth/sulfa) to treat
a possible prostate infection at the same time.
