Subject: Bloodwork and drawing blood
I was wondering what bloodwork is recommended for a 3-4 year old
ferret. I
was planning to do a cbc and bg but when we tried to draw the blood
my ferret
threw a fit. He hated the alcohol used to wet down the fur and
started
jumping and squirming. The doctor wanted to draw the blood from a
jugular
vein but that just was not going to happen. We then tried a back
leg and
were able to get enough for a bg (171). Is there an easier way to
draw
blood? Any suggestions are appreciated! Thanks Erka and Fitz the

Ps. what are normal blood glucose ranges for a ferret?
