Subject: metacam
Just read the second post re the ferret given rimadyl - Metacam is the
brand name for meloxicam, another non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug,
as mentioned in my previous post. We do have a much wider range of
non-steroidals in Europe than in the US, because of the FDA, I
understand. I had a vet from Texas visit the practice once, and we had
three or four of these drugs that were totally unfamiliar to him.
