I have to say good evening on this as we just got back from
Ft. Wayne. Fang's surgery went well, it was her left adrenal.
My veterinarian let me watch this surgery, also, and
explained things as we went along. There were no other tumors
in her body, everything but the left adrenal gland was
perfect. He did ask, before he took her back, if I knew which
one and I told him no, he'd diagnosed this in January and I
took Dr. Williams' advice, saved the money for the surgery
rather than an ultrasound, and we'd know when he opened her
which one, to which he said was a good idea. Thankfully it
was the left one!

So, he used laser surgery and removed it, then stitched her
up. I sat with her in the office, on the heating pad for at
least two hours (He likes for us to do that in case of an
immediate problem, and to make sure they're coming out of it
all right). Fang did have one bad moment when it seemed like
she was frightened coming out of it, and literally leaped out
of the blankets, but I got her calmed down, she curled up and
went back to sleep (I've done something like that coming out
of anesthesia, so know what happened).

She slept almost all of yesterday, but did eat the baby food I
had for her. Last night I heard her eating and drinking on
her own, and today she's been fine. I've got her cage set up
for just her now.

We'll be off line starting tomorrow thru Friday evening,
probably, so I'll get caught back up on my FHL reading then.

I want to thank all of you who kept Fang in your thoughts and
prayers-I know all the good thoughts helped us through this.
Thanks to all who wrote to me, also. I hope to get back to
you after our move.
