Subject: liquid heartworm med expire? 2nd post
Hi,
I just read Dr. Williams' post about asking again if we get no answer. My
question is NOT an emergency nor urgent. I know there have been many more
important issues to discuss lately, so I'm just asking again. : )
I have a bottle of liquid heartworm that I got in March of 2000. I still
have some left. Does anyone know if it will still be effective or if it
expires after a certain amount of time? It's in a dark bottle, so has not
been exposed to light or extreme temps. (If knowing the name of the medicine
helps in any way, I don't have it. The name of the medicine is not on the
label. Just my vet's office label.)
I will be going to the vet in a few weeks for shots, but if this med is
still good, I wanted to treat the ferrets (and cats) for the month of April
since it's warming up and we've been taking them outdoors.
Thank you, and no hurry!
