Subject: Re: [Ferret-Health-list] Vaccine Titers
One of the problems with running titers before vaccinating
is: we have to know at what level the titer means they are actually
protected from the disease. The second problem with titers
is: they vary by which lab is doing the titer. The third problem
is they cost a lot more than the vaccine. Maybe someday in
the future we will have the answers and titers will be useful.
Until then use Benadryl and let your vet know if the ferret
has had any previous reactions.
