Subject: Hematoma

Hello Everyone-

I have an 8 year old neutered male ferret named Mr. Jib. Last week he
developed a large hematoma on his belly down by his hind legs. His doctor
says she has never seen that in a ferret. His blood work was normal and the
fluid sample showed no signs of cancerous cells.
I was wondering if anyone out there has seen this problem? The vet doesn't
want to drain it because she thinks he is not clotting properly. Ideas????
