Yes, I add Cod Liver Oil to their Ferretone, along with olive oil. I did
notice that Cod Liver Oil also has a lot of Vitamin A in it, so I have been
cautious so not to add to much in with the ferretone. I usually only give
Ferretone when they get their nails trimmed every other weekend.
If you notice on the Lax-aire laxative tube they add Cod Liver Oil to their
petroleum ingredients. One vet here in Washington said that Lax-aire was the
best for hairballs, so I immediately got it. After checking the ingredients
in it compared to the ferretone, laxatone and other hair ball remedies, the
only difference is that Lax-aire puts Cod Liver Oil in their ingredients.
I sometimes wonder if we could just make our own laxative. Vaseline,
ferretone and Cod-Liver oil. Sure would save money!
