Hi Linda,
I use the once a month form of Lupron depot.
The dose is 100-500 mcg/kg IM. I usually start
at the 100 mcg level and go up to 200 then 300
if there is no response in the 1 month since the last injection.
If it is a male with an enlarged prostate then I start at the
300mcg level. If it is a female with an enlarged vulva then I start
at 200mcg level. Once things are under control then I lower it back
to the 100mcg level. Yep, I am surprised at how big some of
the glands are with only mild signs, and sometimes how mild the
enlargement of the glands are with severe signs.
