Dear Xena:

While the liver tests are high - I would also like to see the results
of the CBC, and are there any other test results available beyond
just these liver values - often there is useful information in other
areas of the bloodwork that helps to confirm that the process is
isolated to the liver.

In this case, we have not yet ruled out the possibility of a
hemolytic anemia, which can also cause a high bilirubin. Also, is
she yellow - an animal with a bilirubin of three which is in liver
failure may be jaundiced, as the bilirubin will build up in the
tissues, giving the whites of the eye and in some cases the skin and
pads a yellowish tint....
