Thank you for answering my question. I can't imagine ever
being in the position to afford something like that for one of
my cats or ferrets. I was just curious if kidney transplants
had ever been attempted in ferrets, and if so, what the
outcomes were.

Kidney transplant have been done on cats
(UC-Davis) and for dogs. The rough cost is $10,000
to $15,000. Sorry, I do not do kidney transplants,
not do I know of any vet school that is doing them for
ferrets.
