Hi Brett - Thanks for the suggestion. I have RA plus few other probs and
since on two autoimmune suppressants, have hand sanitizers that I use all the
time - plus when out & about - carry sanitizer in my purse, yada yada (whole
protocol on avoiding germs). Anyway, friends who pop in automatically wash
hands or use hand sanitizer before handling the fuzzy ones. All of this, of
course, has made me more sensitive to autoimmune probs ferrets might suffer.
I do think & agree with you that visitors should always take precautions -
both for your ferrets and there ferrets. Cheers, Meg

<< Have you considered using one of those hand-sanitizer solutions that
doesn't require rinsing? You just apply it and let it evaporate. Some
pet stores keep this around for the customers to use before (and
hopefully after) handling any animals. I keep a bottle around to use
before getting meds ready, and in case I ever visit a pet store that
*doesn't* make you wash your hands. >>
