Hi All!
Now I am no expert, but looking at the kidney I have from Stitches (Yes, I do have it and I always ask people if they have a strong stomach, then I find out how strong it is by showing them)
Stitches kidney died and caused major infections, once it was removed, the infections stopped and she found a great home.
Any way, it seems that the shape is basically like a kidney bean, and can be seen as a tear drop shape if looked at on angle or another.
But, that is my uneducated idea, looking at one.
