The ferret in question lived in Virginia with the Davises. Although now
more or less out of the organized ferret world they were well noted in
earlier days.

One shouldn't confuse mixing up conctions found in internet ferret folklore
with the best choice of diet. Straight A/D is something we do use. We use
A/D for kits making the transition from mama's milk to solid food. We start
with it straight and over time mix it with increasing amounts of Totally
Ferret until we end up with straight Totally Ferret. A simple paste made
from ground moistened Totally Ferret is much better balanced as a diet than
any of the "soups".
