That is true. In those cases you are seeking a specialized diet and not
necessarily intending it to be a long term diet and know that it is probably
imbalanced.

"Politically correct" is a term that really only means that you don't like
what was said. If you are using the term in this case to mean "saying what
is politically expedient to please the most people" then I would have not
said what I did. It is not inducive to popularity to point out that people
might be doing the wrong thing when they are convinced they are doing the
best thing.

I firmly believe that quite often these concoctions are at best not too
harmful. The A/D or chicken baby food are easier for the preparer and far
more healthy in most cases than these elaborate mistures. But it doesn't
make the care giver feel like they are doing as much. But in my opinion it
is better to do whatis best for the ill ferret than to feel "important" by
doing too much.
