Subject: Re: Asthma

Some cases of asthma are allergy induced (probably should say many or most
though mine isn't - of course I would be the oddball...)

I have two ferrets with allergies/asthma and they get once a day -
0.25 pediapred
0.15 Claritin pediatric syrup

Works very well for both Maxim and Rascal. BTW, Maxim is allergic to cats
(I don't have cats) that we know of because when we picked him up from the
dog/cat shelter he had recently been moved to the cat room and had
horrendous allergy symptoms - which we didn't know at the time but after
ruling everything else out...

Cyproheptadine is an antihistimine and increases appetite. In the
literature I found the side effects miminal compared to Claritin though
ours tolerate both drugs.

Hope those that celebrate have a nice easter and those that don't
celebrate hope you have a nice Sunday!
