Subject: Re: Chicken bones completely eaten?

Edward,

My ferrets eat most of the large leg and thigh bones of fully grown
chickens and rabbits. If they don't eat the entire bone, they crack
it open and eat the marrow together with chewed up pieces of bone.
What's interesting is that you don't find much bone in the poop, even
when they've eaten large bones. If you do find anything it's small,
well rounded pieces. When they eat mice there are no bones visible at
all. My ferrets consume beaks and feet too sometimes.
