Subject: Skippy and ECE

I would like to thank everyone that has emailed me and the two
doctors that responded in the list. I did pull Dr. Williams
information off of the internet and promptly went out and bought
chicken baby food and pediolyte. Bugsy loves the pediolyte and was
drinking it like there was no tomorrow. He seems to be getting
better as he is still eating and rough housing with us this morning.
Thank you for letting me know about the kibble I will remove it from
my receipe until Skippy gets a little better. I have decided that I
can't let her go all night without eating so I'm going to have to get
up to feed her since in the morning she is acting like her blood
sugar is low (which it most definately probabably is).

Also after calling the doctor on the ferret list in Nashville and
them not knowing what ECE was I promptly called every vet in
Nashville that does exotics and I found one that new what ECE was.
I'm taking them both in on Saturday for a checkup.

The only other thing that I'm worried about is people have been
telling me that I need to be feeding Skippy 15ccs of food. If 1 cc
equates to 1 ml then I'm lucky if I can get 5 in her. My feeding
schedule during the week for her is once in the morning before work,
once at lunch, once when I get home after work and once before I go
to bed. Now I'll have to get up maybe twice at night to feed her
also? Is that enough if I can only get her to eat 5 ml of food?
She doesn't seem weak because she runs around as if nothing is wrong
for about 30 minutes then tires out and goes back to sleep.

Thank you for all of your help.
