Yes, JL usually gets them young, typically before they are a year and
a half. Many years ago we lost Helix, who had been from a breeder
different from Jubilee Spirit, to it at 13 months. What I can tell
you from our experience is that it does, at least, seem to be rare
since we have encountered only once in about 19 years, but we found
it to be the most emotionally painful disease to deal with.
