Subject: Want to hear some good news?
Warp, our 7 year old with the friable small intestine, who wasn't
responding well to nursing this last time has begun to turn around.
Even as I write this she is happily stashing toy mousies. She'll
still have her appointment later this week, but if this continues
she'll avoid intestinal repair surgery again, which is great because
the two last times she barely survived the surgeries that saved her
life. It is so great to see this; typically once she begins playing
again it means that she just needs some more weeks of careful nursing
and extra calories but will be past the worst till next time.
