Subject: Re: ADV and ECE in Canada

I live on the West Coast of Canada - Vancouver to be exact and I have not
heard of any cases of ECE or ADV in this area. The only possible ECE was in
a ferret imported from the US and that ferret was isolated from any other
ferrets. While my vet has heard of ECE and ADV he has never seen a case.
I'm not sure about the rest of Canada but among the ferret owners that I
know on the West Coast, I have yet to hear of any cases

in Canada there has been no reported cases of ADV and only one case of ECE.
That is why a lot of people here don't test for it. That's not to say it's
not here and we don't know it yet or that it's not on it's way. We recently
did a vet tech presentation at one of our colleges and we informed them
about it anyway so they are at least aware of these diseases. So can anyone
tell me if they have heard of ECE and ADV being in Canada? We want to do our
part to help stop the possible spread of either.
