Subject: RE: [Ferret-Health-list] Eye Crust

This is not uncommon with kits...sometimes even before their eyes open. It
is an infection (vets probably know what type) and needs to be treated with
Terramyacin ointment. Can get it from your vet or mailorder places like
Jeffers....but it IS probably an infection and needs to be treated ASAP
because there could be damage done to eye. I have usually seen it in kits
when the jills had mastitis.

Um, if it was my kit, I would treat and make sure there was no infection
before hitting him with another distemper shot. Also, that's a young
kit...are they eating okay, any poop problems?
