First of all check what you are feeding. If you are feeding a
combination of
lite and or senior cat foods the ferret is not getting enough fat in
its
diet. You indicated she is a Hagan girl. Check the fat content.
Unless the
food has at least 18 to 22% fat from chicken or poultry it is not
enough.
Also check the protein source. It should be 85% or higher from
animal
sources such as chicken-by-products, chicken liver, eggs, poultry by
product
meal or chicken.
Adding supplemental fat is not as effective as having a food that
contains
the fat. Try Totally Ferret which has 36% protein and 22% fat.
