It is difficult to say how much pediapred is in your 1cc without
knowing the concentration. In generaly, ferrets are fairly steroid
resistance, and can tolerate steroids without developing side effects
far better than other domestic pets. However, as it doesn't seem
like you have much of an option, as whenever you back it off, he
breaks with colitis again (note to list: fresh bloody poo is
characteristic of proliferative colitis in ferrets.)

You would not expect to see seediness with colitis, as it is much
more closely associated with malabsorption in the small intestine,
rather than the large intestine.
