Never tried CPR, but at least 16 years ago -- since it was before we
moved here -- I had to do AR (Artificial Respiration) for Fritter
when she ate part of a sponge, vomited and then inhaled the piece.
Saw her do it and couldn't get to her fast enough to stop it. She
collapsed in front of me and stopped breathing. I used very gentle
cheek puffs (Did not want to risk the lung injury a larger amount
might cause.) to mouth and nose, and she began again with a bit of
difficulty at first. Frit went on to live about another 6 years.
Never did eat anything but crunchies after that as far as I can
recall...
