Subject: [Ferret-Health-list] Checking Blood Glucose Level

For the most accurate results, you should have a fasting blood glucose test
done. Four hours is about the longest I want to go if I have a ferret that
I'm sure is hypoglycemic, though some vets prefer the fast be a little
longer.

Is it best to bring the ferret in for a blood test for BG level after having
had food or is it best to do in a fasting
state?? When I say fasting I mean about four hours after last meal being
consumed. Thanks for a reply to this
question.
