Subject: Ferrets and babies

Congrats on the upcoming arrival. I have two children, ages 2
and 4, and we also have four ferrets. It can be tricky but
actually the kids can be more dangerous to the ferrets from
about 9 months on than vice versa. I wrote an article for
Modern Ferret #26 on this and I say go for it! Especially if
you have a partner who will be actively helping out.
Now that my kids are older I wouldn't have given up my ferrets
for the world. They really get along wonderfully and help me
out with litter pans, feeding, etc. I really believe their
lives will be enriched from the ferret experience!
