Hi All, just a quick point about protein percentages, ferret
food in the UK is usually marked with usable protein. The
shorter gut of the ferret means that some cat and especially
dog food although marked say 25% is much lower in value when
fed to a ferret as the fast gut transition time means the food
does not digest completely in some circumstances. The
percentage of usable protein is not as important as having the
correct vitamin and mineral makeup as the ferrets just eat
more food to compensate. Chris
