Subject: Complicated query

Hi all

This morning I saw my silvermitt come out of her sleep
box and noticed her hind legs were very unsteady. I
picked her up and she felt hot to me, and when she
licked me her tongue was also warmer than normal.

I took her down to my vet and she definitely has a
temperature - 40.3C - however when the vet checked her
organs and listened to her chest, etc, everything
seemed normal.

She had a shot to bring the temperature down and I'm
taking her back tomorrow to see if it works.
Obviously if her temp is not lower she'll have to have
tests, but does anyone have any idea what could be the
cause of the high temperature and unsteady hind legs?

Sorry to be so vague but there are no other symptoms.

Thanks in advance.
