How did it happen? Why were the babies and ferrets together????
Obviously there was a lack of education and common sense on the parts
of the parents. While I think that it's horrific that these children
were bitten-it could have been prevented

It was much more disturbing to witness first hand the aftermath. That
little girl is 16 years old and it is still disturbing to imagine how
her life has been changed by this. I know she isn't an artist.. the
loss of an eye would have affected her depth perception. She isn't
going to be a model or an actress and I wonder if she will have
trouble getting a date for the prom. We value physical beauty too
much and children can be cruel. That's disturbing. The ferrets in
both cases were murdered, that's disturbing. They were innocently
responding to instinctual behavior and killed for it, that's
disturbing. You raise a good point here, it could have been prevented
and there obviously was a lack of education. Perhaps someone,
somewhere was afraid to tell them because they might find the images
disturbing and feel like ferrets were getting a bad rap.
