Hi,

Epogen is recombinate Erythropoietin. Erythropoietin is the
hormone that the kidneys produce that stimulate Red Blood Cell (RBC)
production. If you ferret is sick maybe is due to the fact the Epogen
is a the "human" form of Erythropoietin and not the "ferret" or cloest
to the "ferret" form of Erythropoietin. Therefore, maybe you ferret is
having a hypersensitivity reaction. But I'm not a vet and really just
a thought.
