[Hey is this thing on? <tap tap> Hello? <ahem>]

Hi. I'd like to thank Christopher for starting this list. I currently have
2 ferrets, having lost my 2 oldest in the last year. The first had
adrenal/insulinoma, the second adrenal/insulinoma/cardiomyophy. My two
current ferrets (who will be 3 and 4 years old this spring) started showing
symptoms of adrenal (hairloss) late last year, and are scheduled for
surgery next month.

I've been a ferret owner since 1992, a member of the FML since '94, am on
the FAIML, and operated a ferret shelter for 2.5 years. I know (modestly) a
lot about ferrets.

Then what the hell am I doing wrong? My ferrets are not Marshall Farms,
were altered at a minimum of 5.5 months, are fed a quality diet (trying to
move to a more natural diet). They get lots of playtime and love.

Yet each one has show disease symptoms at a earlier age. This terrifies me.

I hope this list can help provide some answers.

Thank you.
